Perspectives 2026
Planning for Media Perspectives for 2026 is well underway! A big shout out to the team working behind the scenes that get this amazing event happening every year.
As we have hit 2026 I would like to put a call out to our ATOMWA members to start thinking about putting up their hand to be part of this professional association. There are so many ways you can contribute from organising PD’s and events, to exam writing or being part of producing the MPEG. If you would like to put up your hand this year please contact Brad Minchin. Many of our positions are paid, and let’s face it, looks great on your resume!
This year we have four shows planned so far. The information for each show can be found below. Please keep the following in mind – Ticket sales cover the cost of the ticket only. Some films may be rated MA. Please remind your students of this if they are inviting friends / family. Please PRINT your ticket and have it ready to hand over on the night. We cannot hold tickets at the door so please have a meeting spot planned for your students and yourself.
Burswood screening – Burswood Community Cinemas Burswood. This screening will sell out and if past indicates, within a few days. So please don’t wait to get your tickets! Due to such a high demand we have kicked off with 2 shows at this venue this year. This is an outdoor venue so please dress appropriately for the weather and wear bug repellent. Doors will open at 6:30 and the film will commence at sundown around 7:30ish. The first 250 patrons in the door will get a free bean bag to use. Please bring a picnic rug, bean bag or something of your own to sit on in case you miss out. Low chairs are allowed in selected areas of the venue. This venue allows you to bring a picnic with you, there are also food and drink vans on site. Uber eats is also a great option. You can pre order pizzas online, or order them at the van on the night (do this early to avoid disappointment) toilets are located outside the venue.
