Presented by Revelation Perth International Film Festival and the Department of Communities, Life in Pictures invites people of all ages to create a 3-minute film that sparks a positive conversation about ageing.
Films can be drama, documentary, music video, anything… as long as they address ageing or ageism. More information, terms and conditions of entry are found at https://www.revelationfilmfest.org/life–in–pictures. There is also a Life in Pictures Facebook group. Entries close Friday 19 June and applicants submit their films online.
Revelation encourages people to enter even if they’ve never made a film before. To help people get started, Damien is running free Filmmaking Basics workshops around Perth in March; the only one that isn’t during school times is Sat 4 April at the Town of Vincent library in Leederville. Entrants are welcome to email Damien with any questions they have d.spiccia1@gmail.com
Shortlisted films from all three categories (under 17 years old, 18-59 years old, 59+ years old) get screened at Revelation’s closing night, and prizes and prize money awarded for the winners of each category. Intergenerational teams are very much encouraged.
